I'm Michael David King, a third-generation visual designer and creative pro thriving at the intersection of commerce, culture, and community.
From big brands to independent bands, I’ve been fortunate to work with sharp people on great projects across many years.
I’ve done communications ideation and design, print and publications, event and festival development, branding and packaging, art direction, food styling, video production, photo shoots, meet and greets, and just about everything in between. I’ve randomly encountered my own work in the wild, and it’s always a humbling (and odd) moment of pride and thanks.
Some organizations I’ve worked with include Amazon Studios, The Onion, Dusk Music Festival, Hachette Book Group, Google, Illegal Pete’s, Birdy Magazine, iHeartMedia, Pabst, and about a thousand entrepreneurs, comics, musicians, and small businesses. While this site is a professional portfolio of my visual work, I also want it to eventually grow into a place where I can share some of the stories behind these images—all the friends, collaborators, wild ideas, crazy nights, and what-if moments that tell the full tale.
