Product packaging design almost always begins with research, not only to determine what’s already in the market, but to get a sense of the cultural timbre around the product. Then decision have to be made: is the goal to stand out, to fit in, to buck the trend, or typify a product? The final design needs to satisfy these goals while also being technically sound for proper manufacturing, all while complimenting the greater brand. Here are a few selections I thought accomplished all of that rather well.
